1. Who We Are

This website is run on behalf of The Wragby Group of Parishes — the six parishes of Wragby, Holton cum Beckering, Langton by Wragby, Rand, Snelland and Wickenby, in the Diocese of Lincoln. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect your personal data when you visit this website, contact us, or take part in our services and events.

2. What Data We Collect

Data you give us directly: your name, email and phone number when you enquire about a service, event, wedding, baptism or funeral, and any details you provide about a life event you'd like our help with. Anything submitted through the contact form is processed by Formspree, a third-party form service.

3. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used only to respond to your enquiry, arrange the service or event you've asked about, and keep any necessary parish records. We never sell your data or use it for marketing without your clear consent.

4. Lawful Basis for Processing

Under UK GDPR we rely on: Legitimate interest (responding to your enquiry); Contract (arranging a wedding, baptism or funeral you've asked us to conduct); and Consent (for anything else, which you can withdraw at any time).

5. Who We Share Your Data With

Only where necessary: with Formspree (processes contact form submissions), and the Diocese of Lincoln where required for safeguarding or record-keeping purposes. We never share your data with marketing companies or data brokers.

6. How Long We Keep Your Data

General enquiries are kept for 12 months. Records relating to weddings, baptisms and funerals are kept as required by law and Church of England record-keeping requirements. You can ask for earlier deletion of non-statutory records at any time (Section 8).

7. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, or erase the data we hold about you, object to or restrict its processing, and complain to the ICO if you believe your data has been mishandled (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113). There's never a charge for this — see Section 8 to get in touch.

8. Cookies & Website Usage

This site uses only what's strictly necessary to function, plus the contact form, which is provided by Formspree — see their own privacy policy. No advertising or tracking cookies are used. Full detail is in our Cookie Policy.

9. Contact Us About Your Data

If you have any question about this policy or want to exercise your rights, contact us on 01673 857825 or wragbygroup@aol.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113, or Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF.
